Summary

They Came To Earth Millions Of Years Ago To Spread The Poison Of Hatred,
War And Catastrophe。。。

They Are With Us Still。。。

Human history is a seemingly endless succession of bloody conflicts and devastating turmoil。 Yet, inexplicably, in the light of astonishing intellectual and technological advancement, Man's progress has been halted in one crucial area; he still indulges the primitive beast within and makes war upon his neighbors。

As a result of seven years of intense research, William Bramley has uncovered the sinister thread that links humanity's darkest events -- from the wars of the ancient pharaohs to the assassination of JFK。 In this remarkable, shocking and absolutely compelling work, Bramley presents disturbing evidence of an alien presence on Earth -- extraterrestrial visitors who have conspired to dominate Humankind through violence and chaos since the beginning of time。。。a conspiracy which continues to this very day。

In 1966, when I was a nine-year old fifth grader, I read my older brother’s paperback edition of Frank Edwards’ Flying Saucers – Serious Business。 That sparked a four-year fascination with UFOs and started my lifelong interest in outré and crackpot theories。 The line between “outré” and “crackpot” is of course subjective, but I have a self-published book that claims the UPC barcode is the Biblical “number of the Beast,” and another that “proves” pop songs like Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over In 1966, when I was a nine-year old fifth grader, I read my older brother’s paperback edition of Frank Edwards’ Flying Saucers – Serious Business。 That sparked a four-year fascination with UFOs and started my lifelong interest in outré and crackpot theories。 The line between “outré” and “crackpot” is of course subjective, but I have a self-published book that claims the UPC barcode is the Biblical “number of the Beast,” and another that “proves” pop songs like Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” and the Beatles’ “Let It Be” are all about promoting drug use and/or are Satanic。 I have a paperback that “proves” there are extensive non-human bases on the moon, with photos to back up the author’s claims…except that the circles and arrows superimposed on the photos of our moon don’t circle or point to anything at all。 My personal favorite theory of this type purports the earth is hollow, there’s a huge opening at the North Pole, and that’s where the flying saucers come from。 Prominent in this type of literature are conspiracy theories: Elvis faked his own death; the Apollo moon landings were all a hoax; the atomic bombs dropped on Japan were fakes; the earth is really controlled by the (Illuminati), (Freemasons), (Satanists), (lizard people) (take your pick)。 A massive, classic work in this vein is The Gods of Eden, by William Bramley。 In a thick (over 500 pages) work, Bramley brings together pretty much all of human history to show how we’ve been controlled by alien overmasters since before the dawn of humanity。 It’s hard to give a concise summary of all of this, but suffice to say, it includes ancient civilizations, UFOs, all major world religions, all wars and empires and secret societies, capitalism, Marxism, New Age developments, and the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints。 Whew! Even so, Bramley laments in the last chapter that the book is a mere outline, and there are so many topics he didn’t have the space to go into in detail, or mention at all。 I had been mildly disappointed he had not included “hollow earth” theories, but then he did mention in passing the idea that the hollow earth is where UFOs come from, as one of the theories for which he didn’t have room。 But I was also mildly surprised that he stopped short of claiming the beings controlling all of human history behind the scenes are lizard-like aliens。What should be made of all this is up to the individual reader。 Bramley presents a lot of information, much of which was new to me, but his conclusions often rely on accepting questionable theories and conjectures as givens。 According to one online review (appropriately enough, on coasttocoastam。com), Bramley’s “intent was not to formulate a theory or create a dogmatic view on his findings, but to weave and tie the material together so the reader could draw his or her own summations more objectively。” Yeah, okay, whatever…but Bramley is clearly and emphatically trying to convince his reader that his summations are the correct ones。 In conclusion, reading works like The Gods of Eden is a guilty pleasure of mine。 If you like reading stuff like this, or if you are a regular listener of radio programs like Coast to Coast AM, then this book is a must-read。 (Also, if you’ve never read it, I recommend The Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson, which, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, explores in a fictional work the question, What if all conspiracy theories in existence were all simultaneously true?) Now, you’ll have to excuse me—I’m off to binge watch episodes of V。 。。。more

First the title is misleading。 Most of the book concentrates on the mechanisms of division in human affairs。 There is little talk here about the Eden or the Annunaki。The author uses the term 'custodians' to refer to some mysterious extraterrestrial agents whose goal is to maintain humanity in ignorance, strife and servitude。 Human beings having been allegedly genetically created by ET invaders from the hominides that roamed the Earth (500000 years ago), have in themselves a spark of divinity and First the title is misleading。 Most of the book concentrates on the mechanisms of division in human affairs。 There is little talk here about the Eden or the Annunaki。The author uses the term 'custodians' to refer to some mysterious extraterrestrial agents whose goal is to maintain humanity in ignorance, strife and servitude。 Human beings having been allegedly genetically created by ET invaders from the hominides that roamed the Earth (500000 years ago), have in themselves a spark of divinity and humans may attain their true potential once they get on the path of spiritual development。The author cleverly dissects the mechanisms of manipulation in human history, alleging that the goal of the 'custodians' is to maintain us in ignorance so the human race can be easily manipulated。 William Bramley also argues that most religious/spiritual paths end up acting as vectors of the 'custodian' beliefs through gradual corruption of the authentic ("maverick") spiritual teachings。 His concept of 'custodians' remains vague。 I expected some mention of the 13 bloodlines who control the majority of Earth's resources, the 'lizard beings' or 'the greys', the battle between the 'light' and 'dark' brotherhoods, or demons?。。。but none of that! Bramley offers little evidence to support his theory of the control-freak alien overlords (Who? How? From where? etc。)。 Is he talking about what the gnostics called "archeons"? Are they physical or non-physical? We don't know! We never find out。Not the best but definitely not the worst。 I liked the bite-size chapters that go straight to the point。 Altogether an interesting and stimulating read though the title of the book misrepresents its actual contents。 。。。more

Very interesting read。 Did not always agree with the author and there were a lot of things I was already aware of, but I did still manage to walk away with a lot of new information about historical events, and a lot about the systems in this world like racism, like the banking system, etc。 who really set them up and for what purpose。 Great read for anyone seeking knowledge outside of what we are taught in mainstream texts。 Keep an open mind and keep learning。

I'm not sure that "enjoyed" is the right word for this book, but I did find it very intriguing and even enlightening in some ways。 You definitely need an open mind for conspiracy theories and reevaluating the history that you were taught in school。I found some parts to be a little glossed over and some parts quite dull and a bit of a stretch as to the author's argument, but I felt overall that the author had researched the topic extensively and was sincere in his approach。I would recommend if yo I'm not sure that "enjoyed" is the right word for this book, but I did find it very intriguing and even enlightening in some ways。 You definitely need an open mind for conspiracy theories and reevaluating the history that you were taught in school。I found some parts to be a little glossed over and some parts quite dull and a bit of a stretch as to the author's argument, but I felt overall that the author had researched the topic extensively and was sincere in his approach。I would recommend if you've ever had an interest in secret societies or UFOs。 。。。more

It's like all conspiracies bundled together and supported by historical documents。 I have only one issue is that everything gets blamed on that "Brotherhood" - who supposedly started off by wanting to help humans by letting Eve taste the apple of knowledge and then regretting it and trying to screw humans up by constant wars。Interesting, but confusing。 It's like all conspiracies bundled together and supported by historical documents。 I have only one issue is that everything gets blamed on that "Brotherhood" - who supposedly started off by wanting to help humans by letting Eve taste the apple of knowledge and then regretting it and trying to screw humans up by constant wars。Interesting, but confusing。 。。。more

Starts by accepting Zecharia Sitchin's Sumerian translations at face-value (about ancient malevolent aliens beginning Sumerian culture)。 Then runs with it。 Sort of interesting in the vast-web-of-connections way, but there's not much evidence for these assertions。 Also, this was written in 1989 and I've read several later books that hash over the same ideas with more detail。 So in 2020, this is probably not the best choice for this type of wild speculation。 Starts by accepting Zecharia Sitchin's Sumerian translations at face-value (about ancient malevolent aliens beginning Sumerian culture)。 Then runs with it。 Sort of interesting in the vast-web-of-connections way, but there's not much evidence for these assertions。 Also, this was written in 1989 and I've read several later books that hash over the same ideas with more detail。 So in 2020, this is probably not the best choice for this type of wild speculation。 。。。more

Some interesting research and theories。 While some of it makes sense there are missing bits that would better complete the story。 there is a battle between good and evil, that started before this planet was created。 While I do believe aliens have and are visiting us, there are both good and bad ones, most being benevolent。 I must say I was a little disappointed and was expecting more from this book。 however, it was written a while back and probably the author is working on part 2。
